But very easy, completed first time and spotted some bugs.

Easy: once you have two dragons, almost nothing gets past

Bugs:
Mana bar did not update,
Total score reads NaN,
On one occasion every enemy destroyed as soon as entered screen until next level,
Memory hog - the game slowed down as it progressed, even though gameplay remained similar - are characters/objects removed when leave screen?

Beautifully presented game though, and easy to control..

I liked the style bitmap of the bitmap textures, and music, also game concept is imaginative but like you said, could do with some improved animation. maybe energy loss rather than die straight off as well?
